Craig Williams MP is encouraging Montgomeryshire residents with expertise in trade and agriculture to apply for the newly formed Trade and Agriculture Commission (TAC).
The TAC has been established as an independent expert committee comprising trade and agriculture specialists, and will have a crucial role to play in the independent scrutiny of new UK free trade agreements (FTA).
The new body will provide independent, expert advice as to whether measures in FTA treaty texts may have an impact on UK domestic statutory protections. The TAC will play a key role in scrutinising new FTA’s, and members will be appointed for their individual knowledge and expertise rather than representation of organisations.
The TAC will be made up of 12 experts, and Craig Williams is asking for specialists within Montgomeryshire to apply.
